ABOUT AL CORBEIL BASEBALL CAMPS


Thank You for visiting the Al Corbeil Polk State Baseball Camps page! Our Elite Prospect Camp is a major component in helping us meet our recruiting needs. More than 30 percent of our roster is comprised of camp participants each year. Including former players Jordan Barrett (Blue Jays organization), JD Osborne (Marlins), Sam Machonis (Tigers). The Polk State baseball program has seen over 60 players move onto 4 year universities the past 7 seasons. The 2017 Suncoast Conference Championship team had 11 Division I signees Zach Biermann (Coastal Carolina), Skylar Frey (FSU), Zach Schneider (FAU), Jordan Spicer and Luis Ferrer (UCF), Isaiah Cullum and Zach Diewert (Mizzou), Cole Warken ( Louisana Tech) Chad Tworek (Old Dominion), Justin Tworek (UNF), Justin Gill (FGCU). Polk State currently has 12 former players in MLB affiliated organizations!

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking 2018 graduates to help fill our roster for the 2018-19 season. In addition, we are looking for rising sophomores and juniors who can keep us a State Championship caliber program and continue the winning tradition.

The Polk State baseball program has been ranked in the top 20 Nationally in each of the past 7 seasons and was state runner up in 2014 and FSCAA State Champions in 2012! The Eagles led the state of Florida in wins in 2011 (43-12) and 2012 (46-12) capturing consecutive conference championships highlighted by a State Championship and birth to Junior College World Series in 2012. In addition the Polk State Baseball program has had 59 All-Conference Selections, 5 Fireman of the Year Awards, 5

Defensive Player of the Year Awards, 3 Pitcher of the Year, 2 Conference Player of the year, 10  Academic All-Americans, and 2 Rawlings Gold Glove winners while moving over 60 players onto 4 year programs over the past 7 seasons.  The 2017 MLB draft saw Eagle’s RHP  Shameko Smith (Rockies), Jordan Spicer (Twins) Former Eagles Jordan Barrett (Blue Jays), Casey Kulina (Diamondbacks)
