Camp Behavior Expectations: Our camp strives to provide the best possible camp experience. Our program becomes even more efficient, effective, and safe when campers and coaches follow our behavioral guidelines.

  • Attend each scheduled activity (including meals). Our staff will take attendance at each event. The Camp Director has the sole authority to excuse participation. Should medical attention be needed, contact our athletic trainer immediately.
  • At all times, our staff should be updated on camper locations.
  • Adhere to all directions from camp staff. Discuss logistics further with your camp/court coach if at first they are unclear.
  • Refer to the camp schedule regularly and arrive on time for all sessions.
  • For the security of your personal belongings and equipment, please label everything. If you are staying overnight: residence hall doors should always be locked. We are not responsible for lost or missing items.

Camp Store:  We will offer a selection of camp merchandise at our camp store. This store will be open at all of our camps. Be sure to bring some extra cash and shop!

Camper safety measures: We aim to first and foremost protect our participants and deliver a secure camp environment. All camp staff members are subject to a comprehensive hiring process before they are able to become part of our staff.

Chaperones: Female members of the Julie Torbett VB Camps will stay on the same floor as our campers in their residence hall for the duration of the overnight camp. In addition to residence hall supervision, our staff will perform nightly bed checks to confirm the well-being of all of our campers.

Communication: Once you are registered, email will be our primary form of communication with you. Please visit your registered email account frequently to receive updates and detailed information on your camp. Should you have further questions, please contact us by phone at 252-737-1426.

Dismissal Policy: Campers should be in their rooms by 10:30 PM and “lights out” is at 11:00 pm. Drugs, alcohol, and smoking are strictly forbidden at camp. Refusal to follow these rules, along with general misconduct, constitutes grounds for a dismissal without refund. If there is any damage to dorm rooms, it will be assessed at check-out and paid for by the responsible parties.

Health/Insurance: All campers must be in good health to participate in all camp activities. Our required forms must be completed and signed before campers my join instruction. Please bring the fully executed medical form when you check in.

We provide full time athletic trainers for all our camps. The help oversee all medications and provide medical treatment if necessary.

If a player is injured and needs to be taken to the Emergency Room, we will attempt to contact the parents first. If we are unable to contact the parents immediately, the player’s safety is our first concern and she will be taken to the proper medical facility.

Meals: Meals will be provided by Todd Dining Hall, ECU dining services. Please look at your individual camp to see what meals will be provided.

Parking: Parking will be available in the grass lot between the football field and the baseball field.
