COACHING STAFF

Owner of KBCCS

Matt Kennedy, current bench coach/hitting coach for the Joliet Slammers of Frontier League, has spent over ten years coaching college baseball at various levels.  Over this span, Matt has seen over 20 of his players continue their careers at a professional level.  Matt spent five years as the Head Baseball Coach at Parkland College (IL), where he helped over 75 of his student-athletes continue their careers at NCAA institutions.

Matt has been a firm believer that each player must “find the right fit” for them and their family.  Each player is different and picking the right school is KEY for having success at the next level.  The purpose of this company is to help each participant find that “right fit” as well as give an honest evaluation of each participant from a coach’s perspective.

Manager of KBCCS

Mark Walther, current Assistant Coach at the University of Indianapolis, is a product of the “finding the right fit” concept of KBCCS.  Mark played at Parkland College (IL) in the 2008-2009 seasons, under Matt Kennedy, where he helped capture the 2009 NJCAA National Championship as a relief pitcher.  After weighing many options of where to continue his education and baseball career, Mark took the road less traveled and chose the University of Southern Indiana (NCAA Div. II), where he was a member of the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championship team.  After a successful playing career, Mark jumped right into the collegiate coaching scene and is regarded as one of the best up and coming coaches at the NCAA level.  Mark’s responsibilities at the University of Indianapolis include Outfield Coach, Assisting with Pitchers, and a heavy recruiting load.
