Neal Turvey 

31 Years of Coaching and Administration of baseball & softball programs.

During that time he has worked with every level from Little League to High School to College. Neal coached at Medaille College, the University at Buffalo and Niagara University and at Niagara CCC. Prior to that he was a coach at Depew High School for six years and spent two years with the USAB Ohio Stars 16U Regional Team. Neal has coached some of the most promising players in the Northeast at National Showcases. Neal is dedicated to providing youth and amateur players the experience, coaching and guidance they need to play in College or at the Professional level.

Neal has a simple philosophy: RESPECT ALL PLAYERS, RESPECT YOUR OPPONENTS, RESPECT THE GAME -- provide the correct fundamentals with patience, persistence and clarity.


Jeff Ziemecki

Coach Ziemecki returns to Niagara County Community College for the 2013-2014 season and will assume the role of Assistant Coach.  Ziemecki will serve as the Thunderwolves hitting coach, and coach 3rd base on game days.  In addition to running the offense, Ziemecki will mentor the infielders and catchers. 

Ziemecki previously coached at NCCC for three seasons from 2008-2010 where he served as the top assistant.  During that time, the previously known Trailblazers, received 13 All-WNYAC players, six All-Region players and one Rawlings Gold Glove winner.  NCCC went to three Region Final Fours, won a conference championship, and had a World Series appearance in 2009.

Most recently, Ziemecki spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Division I Niagara University (2011-2013).  While at NU, the Purps had eight All-MAAC selections, and 34 MAAC All-Academic members.  In 2012, the Purple Eagles led the MAAC in batting average (.290), home runs (30), slugging percentage (.413), and total bases (682).  Ziemecki helped mentor one of the most prolific hitters in Niagara Baseball history, Ryan McCauley, to over 200 career hits.  McCauley received College Sports Madness’ MAAC Field Player of the Year and was an ABCA Northeast All-Region 1st baseman in 2012.    

Ziemecki has coached two players drafted in the Major League Baseball first year player draft, Purple Eagle outfielder Wynton Bernard, who was drafted in the 35th round by the San Diego Padres in 2012 and former NCCC shortstop, Sean Jamieson who went in the 17th round to the Oakland A’s in 2011.
 
Ziemecki graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from SUNY Brockport in 2008 and received his master’s degree in sports management at Canisius College in 2011.
