The Ross Natoli Winter Prospect Camp #1 at Catholic University is designed for the advanced high school student-athlete in the 2019-2021 graduating classes who is striving to reach their full potential and eventually compete at the college level. All players will have an opportunity to meet, learn and be evaluated by current Catholic University baseball coaches.  Video Analysis included!

Our Camp coaching staff and instructors will include the Catholic University Baseball Coaching Staff, led by Head Coach Ross Natoli in his 33rd year, Associate Head Coach Bobby Picardo, Pitching Coach Chris Nee and assistant coaches Mark Duffy and Kory Smigocki. Varsity players from the 2018 Catholic University Baseball Team will also be on staff to participate as assistant camp instructors and interact with prospects. 

To enhance personal attention and maximize skill development and feedback, additional experienced college and high school coaches may participate to ensure our camper/staff ratio will not exceed 6-to-1. 


Our camp goals are to provide a forum for prospective student-athletes to display their athletic and baseball talents to the Catholic University Baseball coaching staff. We will also provide instruction to improve each player's fundamental skills, increase their understanding and confidence in all facets of the game of baseball, and prepare players to the fullest for their upcoming seasons and future college baseball careers. The camp format will emphasize pitching instruction, individual defensive position play, hitting fundamentals, base running, arm care and overall strength and agility training. 

Participants will be tested and evaluated in key skills areas including: arm strength, running speed, hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, fielding and base running during general and position-specific instructional skill development sessions. We will also include sessions covering the unique features of Catholic University and the Cardinal Baseball program, academic requirements and expectations, the college recruiting and admissions process, and balancing college academics and baseball in the college environment.  During the last hour of camp, lunch and an optional campus tour will be provided.

Check-in and registration will begin 30 minutes prior to camp in the1st floor lobby of the DuFour Athletic Center.  Parents are encouraged to attend and are welcome to observe all camp activities if they desire.

Players can be dropped off and picked up at the entrance to the DuFour Athletic Center but parents should park in the DuFour Athletic Center parking lot at all other times.  Players will be available for pick-up in the DuFour Center lobby at the end of the camp.  Prompt parent pick-up is appreciated.

  • 8:15 am - Jog, Stretch, Dynamic Warm-up, Loosen Arms
  • 8:30 am - Fundamental Skills Development
  • 9:00 am - Player Showcase and Skill Evaluation, Batting Practice, Bullpens
  • 11:00 am - Running times: 60-yard dash
  • 11:30 am – Catholic University Baseball Forum with Coaches, Parents and Players
  • 12:00 pm – Lunch and Optional Campus Tour
  •  1:00 pm - Camp Ends


We will give feedback throughout the camp.

For a written evaluation, make sure you sign up to receive one when you register. The cost for the written evaluation is $25.


All players should wear basketball or tennis shoes only when inside the DuFour Athletic Center. Black soled shoes, cleats and turf shoes will not be permitted during indoor activity! All players should bring a gym bag for their equipment and provide their own hat, baseball glove, shoes, batting gloves, and wear a protective cup. Bats and helmets will be available, but campers are encouraged to bring their own. Catchers must wear a protective cup and should bring their own equipment, as well. Most importantly, all players should CLEARLY MARK THEIR PERSONAL EQUIPMENT in advance of attending the camp. The Ross Natoli Baseball Camps, LLC, is not responsible for participant's personal equipment or personal items lost, stolen or misplaced during participation in this camp.

In addition, we may conduct some of our camp outside on our baseball field or Field Turf multipurpose field, weather permitting.  Therefore, please come prepared to dress appropriately to work-out indoors or outdoors.  In addition to indoor gear and shoes, players should bring a long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, jacket (windbreaker), sweatpants or baseball pants, turf shoes and cleats for outdoor activities.


The camp employs a Catholic University certified athletic trainer.  The trainer will be on site during all sessions to provide prompt and professional care to all campers.


Lunch will be provided.  Beverages and concessions will also be available for purchase at the DuFour Athletic Center.


This is not an "overnight" camp.  Players travelling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations.

All requests for refunds or camp credit must be submitted to our office in writing in order to ensure processing. Refunds will be issued for cancellations up to one week before the start date of the enrolled session.  After this date, a camp credit, valid for one calendar year, will be issued for cancellations less than one week before the start date of the enrolled session.  Cash refunds will not be offered for cancellations less than one week before the start date of the enrolled session or during the session.


Ross Natoli Baseball Camps, LLC, reserves the right to postpone any camp due to inclement weather or unforeseen scheduling conflicts.  In the event of inclement weather, campers are urged to call the camp hotline at (202) 319-6092 before leaving home.  All changes in schedules will be announced at least one hour prior to camp start time.  If camp is postponed, every attempt will be made to reschedule it at the earliest convenient day and time.  If a make-up date is unavailable, an appropriate credit or refund will be issued. This credit may be used for any future camp.  Ross Natoli Baseball Camps, LLC, will not be responsible for sessions missed for personal reasons, and will not guarantee any make-up.
